Starting an iBook

Hello, this term we are making a Director's Commentary on our animations we created last term. I have started to make some templates of how I want my chapters and sections to look like.

I need to start to make a book cover in photoshop. I made my background of my section in photoshop. Here's how I did it:

I desaturated the image in photoshop here's how it turned out:

I then placed it into my iBook, but I couldn't read the writing so I turned down the opacity to 37% here's how it looks now:
