Reflections

In my stop motion I decided to add a 'reflection' scene so my animation would be able to be submitted into the film festival. Annie looks into a puddle and sees he reflection waving at her. I found it hard to make my reflection look realistic. I used a photo of my puddle I made from paper, placed it into photoshop and used previous images I took to use the clone stamp tool and copy the image of Annie into the puddle. Here's the first image:

I felt like this didn't look very realistic so I thought I could cover it with a blue tint. I am going to place this image into photoshop and use the paintbrush tool, using a soft brush and paint over it to make it blend in with puddle. I asked Mr Andrews how I could make it look even more realistic. He suggested I should use te ripple effect and make the puddle look like it actually is water and it is actually is moving. Here's how the image turned out:

I think it does look really cool and really realistic. I did by using the selection tool and pressing <Edit>Distort>Ripple>. I selected Large and made it to 33%.

This definitely made the puddle look a lot more realistic, instead of making it look like a piece of blue cardboard on the ground.
