LEGO - The Magic Portal

Today in media, Mr Andrews showed me a video of the very first LEGO film made. It was made around 1985 - 1989. I really liked this video as it showed me different ways for me to make my characters walk. The didn't use the same technique as I am going to use in my film. It still looked realistic and it looked good. I am going to trial this walk the next time I can film. The whole purpose of an animation is to make things happen that doesn't actually happen in real life. This video was based around a space theme, with robots, spaceships and other science fiction elements. A time portal was the main idea of the film, as the characters went through the time portal and visited other places. I especially liked the end of the film as I wasn't really expecting it to happen. I thought the end would just be them returning home and everything would be all happy and smiley. Instead, they show the creator being frustrated about what the characters messing up his set of the video. This was really cool when the character was walking around while he was building the set in fast motion, a really cool effect.
