Shot List - Assignment
Here is my shot list, this will be a big help while I am filming. This helps me understand which shots have close-ups and which ones have wide shots.
Story Boards - Assignment
Here are my storyboards for my assignment. They only outline main parts of the animation, not every single shot. These are just a base for my assignment, so I can explain further from my shot list.

Assignment Linear Narrative
Here is a plan of my assignment from last lesson:
Brisblock (Starting town)
-
A girl is very upset,
depressed and sad, as she has no friends.
-
Her peers aren’t very nice to
her as she doesn’t socialise as much
-
One day she leaves home and
boards a bus for a school excursion to New Yoke
-
Her classmates leave her
behind and she is lost
New Yoke (Ending Town)
-
She looks around town and
tries too find her way back home
-
She is very worried and upset
that she will never go home
-
She tries to find her way
back home and along the way she meets 3 friends who help her
-
As she gradually meets a
friend New Yoke becomes more brighter and colourful
-
Once she reaches a small town
house her mother and father are waiting for her
-
She feels happier
s
Some Extra Notes:
- - As she walks around town the
city of New Yoke pops up and becomes bigger and brighter
- - There is a far away shot of
the whole town and her being tin
I am planning to do a cut-out/iStop Motion/Brickfilm. This will be a lot of work, as I am planning to use LEGO pieces. They are very fidgety but I have a while to make it, so I think I can do it!

LEGO Addicted To You - Inspiration
I found a music video made from LEGO and this is a great example of what I want to do for my assignment. I want to use LEGO in my iStopmotion and I want it to look as smooth as this video.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxb-3J1cYc4
I really like this video and I thought is was very well done, as it was very long and was great quality. I could re-create this video but I know it will take a very, very long time for it to come out this good. I especially liked the part when the guards got shot and the blue blood escaped from the guards. I thought this was a cool effect and it looked so smooth! If I did it, it would be very jerky. I'm guessing they used blue paint for the blood as it did look a lot like blue paint.

Inspiration For Assignment - Flowers Blooming
I decided for my assignment I am going to use animationish, iStopmotion and maybe a little bit of photoshop. I am thinking of making a story of a girl who doesn't have many friends. She's very sad, depressed. Her life is very black and white. Then she falls through a black hole to a new world (still deciding name). And as she meets new friends along the way her world becomes a lot more brighter and colourful. This is a bit of a draft and I am going to draw a story board to help assist with my ideas. I was thinking of using some flower GIFS to put in the brighter land so I could photoshop them in. I found some GIFS of some blooming flowers that would help me.

Chalk Superhero Animation
Today in Media, Mr Andrews showed us an animation that had a creative idea behind it. It uses 'chalk' as we are unsure whether or not it was hand drawn on the road. I think that it was drawn and then projected onto the road instead of hand drawn. The man's superhero cape was attached to string to give the audience the illusion of him flying. I did like this animation as it was unique and I had never seen anything like it. I especially liked the part when he does his whole morning routine as it looked really cool! I could make a remake of this but if I were working in a pair it would be much eaiser. Here's the link:

I am trying to find the making of this video if I do I will link it.

Hello My Name is - Animationish Activity
Over the past couple of lessons we made the animation called, Hello My Name is. We needed to use iStopmotion to take photos of us saying "Hello my name is". Then we imported each frame into animationish and drew an outline of the face. We needed to draw our faces in different segments. the jaw would be one line, ears, forehead, lips (top and bottom separate), nose, eyes and eyebrows. We needed to make sure our animation didn't look like Monty Python or South Park. I think my animation turned out pretty good and I hope it doesn't look like Monty Python! A problem I faced was I don't think the way my mouth moves looks like I'm saying Hello My Name is Lois. I was also a bit lost on what I was suppose to do. I didn't fully understand the task, but Mr Andrews explained it and I knew what to do.

Inspiration Animations
For homework in media we needed to find examples of different animations to help us find inspiration for our assignment this term.
In Your Arms - Kina Granis
One animation I came across which I thought looked really cool and looked like a lot of hard work had been put into it. It is a stop motion video, that uses jelly beans as the background. The jelly beans give the video a unique touch to the video making it look a lot more interesting. I am thinking of using stop motion in my assignment. I think that this a very difficult animation for me to recreate, as I don't have the tools. I think I will be able to simplify it, by maybe using lollies to use as people and make a scene using lollies.

Deadline - Post it Notes
This another stop motion video that has a unique idea to it. I has a man on his computer with post-it notes up above showing the different things he's doing. I think I am able to do this idea as I do have the skills. I don't think I'd have a lot of time to make a stop motion as good as this, but maybe to use post it notes to make different objects.

Paper Motion - Melissa Garrk
This animation was another stop motion, but instead of using people in the video, they used paper. This is a student film, so it wasn't done professionally. This video did have a great storyline, which did make it a great animation. I know a lot of planning had gone into this video, I especially liked the part when the boy jumps to the rip in the paper to grab the post it notes, to get the flower. I think I can re-do this stop motion, as a student made it. I do have the same skills as her, so I would be able to make on similar.

Walking Cycle Animation
Today in media we made an animation on the walking cycle. This was a bit harder than the ball activity. We used this photo to trace to body:
http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/1358971
This photo is very good at outlining each leg or arm. I decided to make this person into a girl and added some clothes onto her. I made the setting into her walking to her mother's house. Tracing the person's outline didn't take too long. I really like the look of this animation and it looks very realistic. A problem I faced was drawing the clothes, as it didn't look very good and made it look weird. I'm thinking of using this walking cycle in my animation, as it fits my storyline and plan for my assignment.

Bouncing Ball Animation
I just wanted to let Mr Andrews know I was away while we practiced iStopmotion, so I do not have a practice iStopmotion video.
In media, we made an animation making a bouncy ball. This animation wasn't too complicated as we only needed to draw a ball. It had around 5 frames, but to make it longer I copied the frames and pasted them. This makes the animation a lot longer and is a fast way. I noticed there was a speed scale to adjust the speed. Mr Andrews told us not to adjust this in our animation as it will make our animation jerky and it won't look good. If we wanted to make our animation slower, we would need to make more frames to make it the speed we would like it to be. My animation turned out great and I added in a hand to make in look like the hand was bouncing the ball. I wanted to add something to make it look not too boring.
